From the south
(M1) exit at J24. Take the A50 towards Uttoxeter. After 20 miles take the turn off for Ashbourne, A515. From Ashbourne, take the B5035 towards Wirksworth and Carsington Water.

Our cottages are situated approximately 5 miles out of Ashbourne, on the left hand side of the road, immediately opposite the turn off for Carsington Water. There are two large signs at the entrance, one for the Brackendale Restaurant, and one for Knockerdown Holiday Cottages

From the north
(M1) exit at J28. Take the A38 towards Derby, then the A610 signposted Ambergate. Turn right on to the A6 signposted Cromford and Matlock. At Cromford, turn left on to the B5036 towards Wirksworth, following this road for approximately 2 miles.

At the top of the hill, take the right hand turn onto the B5035, signposted Ashbourne and Carsington Water. Travel on this road for approximately five miles and Knockerdown Farm is located on the right hand side, just after the Knockerdown Inn (situated on the left). Our entrance is immediately opposite the turn off for Carsington Water.
